Job Description

Patene Building Supplies Ltd. is a distributor of roofing material for the commercial construction industries.

We are currently seeking a Delivery Truck Driver for our Commercial Roofing branch in Milton.

Responsibilities:

-Daily circle check reports and upkeep of company equipment, including general maintenance
-Verifying loads and paperwork (proper loading of materials, tarping, strapping etc.)
-Completion of all daily (MTO) paperwork requirements
-Safe and timely deliveries and pick ups of material to locations
Participate in loading and unloading materials on outgoing trucks by using a boom truck or moffett forklift (experience is an asset, but willing to train the right candidate)
-Adhere and follow company’s Health & Safety policies and regulations
-Provide professional and courteous service to customers and sub trades
-Work in adverse weather conditions both indoors and outdoors
-Abide by all rules and laws of the road
-Perform other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

-High School diploma
-Driver’s Licence (Class A or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
-Driver’s abstract and clean CVOR
-1-3 years related experience, preferably in the construction industry
-Must be dependable and a team player
-Ability to communicate with co-workers, vendors and customers (verbal and written)
