Delivery Driver (DZ/AZ Boom Operator)

Patene Building Supplies Ltd. is a distributor of drywall, steel framing components, insulation, acoustic ceilings, shingles, masonry and other building materials for the residential and commercial construction industries. We have fifteen (15) branch locations throughout Ontario & Manitoba to serve our contractor, builder and retail customers.

We are currently seeking a Delivery Truck Driver (DZ Truck-Boom Operator)that will make deliveries to customer job sites for our Kitchener branch.

Responsibilities:

· Daily circle check reports and upkeep of company vehicle, including general maintenance (greasing of Boom/ Moffett) and cleanliness of cabs

· Verifying loads and paperwork (proper loading of materials, tarping, strapping etc.)

· Completion of all daily (MTO) paperwork requirements

· Safe and timely deliveries and pick ups of material to locations

· Participate in loading and unloading materials on outgoing trucks by repetitive lifting or using a boom truck

· Responsible for directives on site to helper

· Provide professional and courteous service to customers and sub trades

· Reporting damaged or missing materials or equipment

· Adhere and follow company’s Health & Safety policies and regulations

· Abide by all rules and laws of the road

· Perform other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

· High School diploma

· Driver’s Licence (Class D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement or AZ

· Standard Transmission experience a must

· Boom experience preferred

· Driver’s abstract and good CVOR

· 1-2 years related experience, preferably in the construction industry

· Must be dependable and a team player

· Ability to communicate with co-workers, vendors and customers (verbal and written)
