Position Summary
Fiorino Concrete Ltd is looking for a Truck Driver to transport equipment, materials, and personnel safely between job sites in and around London, ON. As part of our team, you’ll enjoy union-standard pay, transferable skills, and continued training. Through continued skill development, advance to roles such as Heavy Equipment Operator or Site Foreman.
Key Responsibilities
Operate heavy-duty trucks (e.g., dump, or tractor-trailer).
Load and secure supplies and materials according to safety regulations and company policy.
Navigate various sites in all weather and terrain with precision.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and report defects promptly using a digital software.
Support general site operations: assist with loading/unloading, site cleanup, and manual handling when trucks are idle.
Comply with Ontario road laws, including zero-tolerance for alcohol or drug presence while driving.
Qualifications
Valid Ontario AZ driver’s license.
Clean driving record; familiar with CVOR requirements.
Experience operating commercial/heavy trucks; union or construction site experience preferred.
Strong commitment to safety protocols (eg. load securement, HOS rules).
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and collaborate on-site.
Excellent communication skills and a willingness to work flexible schedules (including 12-hour shifts, on call shifts, and driving in Northern Ontario)
Understanding of the concrete industry however is not required.
Preferably a member of IUOE Local 793 or Liuna 1059 however can be put into the union if not a member yet.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive wage of $30 – $40 an hour depending on union status..
