Compensation:
● Our drivers get paid to drive and to load
● Driving is paid by the KM
○ The first 180 KM are paid at 0.8282 cents per KM
○ The next 140 KM are paid at 0.5694 cents per KM
○ All KMs afterwards (over 320 KM) are paid at 0.3106 KM
● Drivers are paid either $71.05 or $106.58 for each trailer they load. If the birds being
loaded weighs less than 3.5 kilos (called fryers) the driver earns $71.05 $ to load that
trailer. If the birds are over 3.5 kilos (called Roasters) the driver earns $$106.58 to load
that trailer
● The minimum pay for the driver per load is $205.64 ($134.59 min for driving + $71.05 min
for loading)
● Benefits: We offer health and dental benefits through Great West Life after the 3-month
probation period (see benefits summary below for details of coverage)
● RSP: We offer participation in the company’s RSP program after 12 months. The company
will match up to $100/month
● Bonus: After you complete your first year, you are eligible to take part in the annual bonus
program where you can receive up to 2.5% of their annual gross pay. The amount you
receive is based on:
○ Performance: You will meet with your foreman to complete quarterly performance
reviews. Performance is based on the driver’s ability to meet the measurable
accountabilities as outlined in the scorecard. Some examples include not refusing
loads, being on time, attendance, professional customer service at all times to
growers and plant employees (our customers)
○ Safety: Preventable accidents or work related MTO demerits or charges
○ Animal Welfare: breach of protocol/policy causing preventable injury or harm to
the animals verified through an internal investigation
○ Equipment Accountability: Reporting damages, completing pre and post
inspections daily

What will your day look like:

Set up trailer at the farm for it to be loaded with poultry
Loading your trailer with catching crews or loaders
Managing the load, following animal welfare requirements
Tarping, chaining, and strapping of trailers
Accurate weighing of empty and loaded cargo for processing
Communication with dispatch, foreman and farmers daily
Completion of paperwork, including paper logs and bill of ladings
No border crossings or long-haul destinations
Experience Required:

Must be able to drive 13 speed Manual.
Experienced and comfortable with physically demanding work in a fast paced environment that requires repetitive tasks
Flexible to work all start times as required
Available to work 5 days per week
Experienced using smart phones/comfortable with technology
