∙ You will provide customers with reliable and high-quality customer service. This means speaking with homeowners daily, educating them on proper recycling, referring issues to supervisors, handling complaints, issuing stickers on their bins, dealing with language barriers, etc. You must remain, patient, understanding, friendly, polite and respectful.
∙ You will follow all relevant policies and procedures of the company, the MTO, Ministry of Environment, as well as the by-laws of the London Municipality. ∙ The garbage bags or cans can weigh up to 50 lbs. and need to be lifted from the ground up approximately 2 feet into the hopper. Keep in mind that in certain weather, they may be full of water or snow/ice, resulting in them being even heavier than normal.
∙ You will be required to clear 1000-1500 homes per day, with an average of 100- 150 homes per hour.
∙ Make trips back to the facility to empty the truck when it is full and then pick up where you left off on the route.
